Integrations · four engines · Google · WordPress

Connect the tools you already use.

AuditAE slots into your existing stack — Google, WordPress, your SEO plugin — without replacing anything. The engines it audits, the properties it reads, and the site it can write to, all in one workspace.

01 · AI engines

The four engines every audit can hit.

Each prompt × engine cell is one check ($0.05). Run all four in a single audit or select individually — none are upsells. See how each engine differs on the AI engines page.

GPT

ChatGPT

OpenAI · Responses API + web_search

The world's most-used AI assistant. AuditAE fires your prompts through the same search-enabled API that powers ChatGPT's live, cited answers — not a simulation of it.

Each check records
Cited / mentioned / absentSource URLsCompetitor mentionsFull answer text
Queries the search-enabled mode — testing on ChatGPT.com without web search may differ.
PPX

Perplexity

Perplexity AI · Sonar API (sonar-pro)

Citation-first by design — nearly every answer ships with numbered sources, and fresh content gets picked up fastest here. The most useful engine to track.

Each check records
Cited / mentioned / absentSources + positionsCompetitor mentionsFull answer text
A rankable source list per answer — winning a citation here has a direct traffic implication.
AIO

Google AI Overviews

Google · SerpAPI live SERP parsing

The AI answer above Google's blue links — on roughly 15% of searches and climbing. No official API exists, so AuditAE uses live SERP parsing, the category-standard method.

Each check records
Overview shown?Cited / mentioned / absentSources in the OverviewCompetitor mentions
Overviews trigger mostly on informational and comparison prompts — no Overview, and the cell says so.
GEM

Gemini

Google · Gemini API (gemini-2.5-flash)

Google's native model, woven into Search, Workspace, and Android. AuditAE queries it directly with web grounding enabled.

Each check records
Cited / mentioned / absentSource URLsCompetitor mentionsFull answer text
02 · Google

One OAuth step. Four properties.

Dashboard → Settings → Integrations → Connect Google. Scopes are minimal by design — read-only for GA4 and Search Console, send-only for Gmail, own-files-only for Drive. Disconnect any time; all four revoke together.

Google Analytics 4

analytics.readonly

Once a GA4 property is selected in your site's Settings, AuditAE pulls session data, landing page performance, and daily traffic trends from the GA4 Data API.

Sessions summaryLast 30 days vs. prior 30, with % change
Top landing pagesSorted by sessions — which pages actually drive traffic
Daily timeseries14-day day-by-day chart for spotting spikes or drops
Custom queriesAsk AEBOT anything — events, conversions, channels, revenue

Google Search Console

webmasters.readonly

What Google thinks you rank for, click-through rates, average position — surfaced alongside citation data, so you can see whether an uncited prompt at least has organic visibility.

Top organic queriesSorted by clicks, with impressions and position
Page-level dataClicks and impressions per URL, not just per query
Daily timeseriesSee whether a content change moved the needle
Custom queriesRegex filters, page path, search type, date range

Gmail

gmail.send · send-only

AEBOT can send reports, audit summaries, and monthly writeups from your connected account — recipient, subject, and body preview shown before anything is sent. Nothing fires automatically.

Email any reportSend what AEBOT generates without leaving the dashboard
NotificationsAudit-complete emails when a scheduled tracker fires
Monthly deliveryPerformance writeups straight to stakeholders

Google Drive

drive.file · own files only

Save any report as a native Google Doc — editable, shareable, findable. The drive.file scope can only see files AuditAE created; it cannot read your existing Drive.

03 · WordPress

The deepest integration in the product.

Citation audit findings become content changes — no separate editor, no copy-pasting between tools. Works with the Block Editor and Classic, multisite-friendly, and writes natively to Yoast SEO and Rank Math meta fields. Full feature tour on the WordPress plugin page.

WordPress 6.0+PHP 7.4+Block + Classic EditorMultisiteYoast SEORank Math

Paired in three minutes. Permissioned by you.

1. In WP Admin → Plugins → Add New, search “AuditAE”, install, and activate. (Auto-updates from WordPress.org.)

2. In Settings → AuditAE, click Connect and copy the 8-character pairing code — single-use, expires in 10 minutes.

3. Paste it into AuditAE. The bearer token is stored AES-256-GCM encrypted in wp_options, keyed off AUTH_KEY plus a per-install secret.

Four capabilities, each independently switchable. Enable only what you need — every change pushed from the dashboard is logged in WP Admin.

FAQ

Integration questions, answered.

Can I connect multiple WordPress sites?

Yes. Each AuditAE site pairs with one WordPress install. If you manage multiple brands, create separate sites in your workspace and pair each independently.

Does connecting Google give AuditAE access to my email?

Gmail scope is send-only (gmail.send) — AuditAE cannot read your inbox, drafts, or existing emails. Drive scope is drive.file — it only sees files it created.

Do I need Yoast or Rank Math to use the WordPress integration?

No. Without either, write_seo covers AuditAE's own schema injection (FAQPage, Organization, Article JSON-LD). With Yoast or Rank Math installed, AuditAE also writes to their meta fields.

Which AI engines are supported?

ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini — each selectable per audit. Copilot and Claude aren't currently citation audit targets, though ClaudeBot's crawl activity is logged by the WordPress plugin.

Does the WordPress plugin slow down my site?

No. The REST routes only run when AuditAE calls them, and the frontend work is a single User-Agent scan per request for the AI crawler log plus optional JSON-LD in the head — well under a millisecond on any reasonable host.

Can I use AuditAE without connecting any integrations?

Yes. The core citation audit works with nothing connected. Google and WordPress are additive — more context for AEBOT, plus the content-fix workflows.

Connect your stack. Or don’t — yet.

The core citation audit needs nothing connected. Google takes one OAuth step; the WordPress plugin takes three minutes. Start wherever you like.
