Terms of Service
Effective May 6, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of AuditAE (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
1. The service
AuditAE is a pay-per-use Answer Engine Optimization audit tool. We run prompts you submit against ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, then return structured results showing whether and how each engine cites your brand or domain. We also expose this functionality via an MCP server and HTTP API.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and API keys secure. Don’t share API keys publicly. If a key is compromised, rotate it immediately from your dashboard.
You are responsible for activity that happens through your account or any API key issued under your organization.
3. Pricing and credits
Each prompt × engine combination is one billable check at $0.05. There are no subscription fees. New accounts receive $5 in free credits — about 100 checks. Credits never expire.
You can top up at any time via Stripe Checkout. Top-ups are non-refundable except as required by law, but unused credits never expire and remain available for as long as your account is active.
We may change pricing in the future. If we do, we’ll give signed-in users at least 30 days’ notice and the change won’t affect credits you’ve already purchased at the old rate.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit prompts you don’t have the right to query (e.g., other people’s private data).
- Try to circumvent rate limits, abuse the free preview from multiple IPs, or share API keys to avoid billing.
- Use AuditAE to send unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringing content.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our infrastructure or any third-party engine’s internals.
- Resell or repackage the raw API responses without value-add — derived insights, dashboards, and reports for clients are fine.
We can suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you’re violating these terms.
5. Provider engines and accuracy
Audits depend on third-party providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google, SerpAPI). Their outputs change over time, can be inconsistent, and may contain errors. We surface the responses as we receive them; we don’t guarantee any particular engine cites or doesn’t cite your brand. AEO results are signals, not facts, and not a substitute for legal, financial, or marketing advice.
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t guarantee uptime, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AuditAE’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) $50 USD.
Neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing aaronkaltman@gmail.com. We can terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms or for security or abuse reasons. Upon termination, unused credits are forfeited unless required by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. If changes are material we’ll notify signed-in users by email and update the effective date above. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in that jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
